Bishop McEwan is an experienced pastor, preacher, teacher and communicator and church planter. He leads with vision keeping the big picture in mind. He has a true shepherd's heart always nurturing fellowship and worship in the congregation while being sensitive to the needs of individuals. Bishop McEwan is a facilitator drawing on the gifts and skills of the congregation. Pastoral care, evangelism, church growth and ministering to the community are all part of his agenda.
He has been ministering the gospel of Jesus Christ for over thirty years. His first ordination as Evangelist came at the young age of 19 years old. Many ordinations followed and in August 1990 he was ordained Bishop.
He established Emmanuel Apostolic Church in Ottawa in 1969 and continued his pastorate as founder and senior Pastor for twenty-eight years until February 1997 when He launched New Covenant Apostolic Church, a federally registered Canadian Corporation. He has also been instrumental in planting churches in Cornwall and Montreal.
